September - October with the Girlies

September and October were busy months for us - Kim's Grandma turned 100, my sister Sarah got married, my brother Ronnee had his latest wedding (actually a reception - they got married in July in Homer, Alaska, where I spent a bit of time in the summer of 1986 before I headed off to Kodiak to yank the pancreas and intestines out of defenseless halibuts. That summer I got a flat-top and didn't shave the entire summer, so you can imagine how handsome I looked. While I was there this time, I bought elk jerky from a one-legged man). But that has nothing to do with the girlies, so back to the topic at hand.

Below are some pictures and videos from September and October:

(not pictured: the entire family singing the longest version of 'Thanks for the Memories' in recorded history, led by Original Gary, who loves to hum)

The Girlies, with their Cousin Berkeley (possibly spelled 'Berkley' or 'Berkely' - no one is really sure, but the town in California with the America-hating hippies and weirdos is spelled 'Berkeley', so I get confused)

Grammy Judy with Mike S and the Girlies at Sarah's Wedding Shower - Sarah married a guy named Garth, who loves tattoos and skulls and stuff, so he and I have that in common

Ron and Jen Rahn welcoming Sally and Amelia to Kansas City - I was expecting them to also be waiting with a big limousine, but they love the Earth and decided that we should all try to fit into a Prius

Mike S trying to help Sally, Amelia and Joey Bag O' Donuts Walk Down the Aisle - During the actual ceremony, Sally decided not to participate, so I made my first appearance (but not my last, I hope) as a Flower Girl

Sally Fixing My Tie - It was a mess all night, and Sally tried very hard to make sure her Daddy looked handsome. She was, however, unable to do anything about my large forehead.

The Only Bow-Tie Instructions You Will Ever Need - I didn't find this until after the wedding, unfortunately for me

My Sister, D;l;lkjdsa Making the Girlies Laugh - I think she sang them her interpretation of the Lou Rawls Classic 'You'll Never Find'
