Pink Baby and Plaid Baby Day

Today is Pink Baby and Plaid Baby Day. One year ago today - April 6, 2007- we got the notification that we had been referred the beautiful Ling Cha Yao (Amelia) and Ling Cha Qiong (Sally).

That night we went to China Fun, a Chinese restaurant, to celebrate with Laura, DeYan, Gene, Stacie, Julian and our nephew Jake.

Tonight, on Pink Baby and Plaid Baby Day, we talked a lot about what a great day that was, and we went back to China Fun with Laura and DeYan to revisit the day. Every year on April 6th we will celebrate and tell the girlies about how happy we were when we got the call.

March with the Girlies

In March my 'Mom' and her latest husband Don came to visit us for Easter. It was all good fun - they came to see the girlies at Gymboree and, uh, some other stuff.

March is also Kim's birthday, which as you all know is the most important day on the calendar. For Kim's birthday I decided to surprise her with theater tickets for 'The Little Mermaid', Kim's favorite movie ever. Then I decided to surprise myself by realizing, at 7 PM the night of the show, that I had tickets for the 2:00 show earlier. Man, was she surprised. There are no photos of that, but I thought I would tell the story anyway, because a lot of people think I am perfect and never make mistakes. Listen, I'm not perfect. I put my pants on just like the rest of you - one leg at a time. Except, once my pants are on, I make gold records.

Also that night, Amelia decided to vomit huge volumes of vomit about five times.

Oh man - that is really freaky! (Or: Ozzie got into the Uranium again!)

Amelia LOVES to pick stuff up - whenever she hears the 'Clean Up' song she jumps up and starts putting stuff away. I love this, of course, because it is important to clean and stuff. Here she is singing her daddy's favorite song.

February with the Girlies

In February we celebrated Chinese New Year, our first (of course) with the girlies. It was also time to get Sally a haircut.

January 2008 with the Girlies

Nothing much happened in January - the girlies were a bit sick and it was cold and boring, so there isn't anything interesting to say. Below are a couple of pictures and a video of the girlies on their tricycles.
